CONCLUSION: SH preserved motor function in all patients. However, fewer than half of our patients remained seizure-free at long-term follow-up, a lower rate than reported in the literature. SH may be considered when preservation of motor function is a priority, provided that families are counseled that seizure outcomes may be inferior to those of complete hemispherotomy.
