I am concerned about patients being over diagnosed with FND and inappropriately diagnosed with FND, including whole categories of patients, for example those with epilepsy not recently proven on EEG and those with ME/CFS.

2022, diagnosed with FND after hospitalisation with debilitating non-specific symptoms. In reality I had chronic untreated tick borne infections. Once treated properly, FND symptoms resolved completely. However the spectre of FND haunts my medical records, and I've been left with permanent vision loss and a deep distrust of doctors, especially neurologists.

Intermittent but progressive neuro symptoms for 14 years. Diagnosed with FND 2013. Shifting between acceptance, doubt, and defiance. Something still just doesn’t sit right.

I'm Anthony, a physicist specialising in fast neutron degradation of graphite lattice structures. It's not a field many people encounter, but unlike some professions, we tend to welcome open criticism and debate, especially when reactor safety is involved.

I’m a neurologist with over 15 years of experience, and I have no personal or professional stake in the FND field. However, I do encounter these patients frequently in my clinic. Skepticism is healthy, but it shouldn’t be driven by a complete lack of understanding of what we already know about medicine, the nervous system, and FND.

A bit about myself: I live in Kazakhstan, a country in Central Asia. I'm 21 years old and currently in my fourth year of medical school. There's a saying that when life is going smoothly, we tend to create problems in our minds, but when a real challenge arrives, all the imaginary ones suddenly fade away.
